Red Light Therapy May improve Eye Function

“Should we insist our clients wear protective goggles while under red light therapy, LED, LLLT red light?”

Here is a link to some interesting clinical data regarding observed improvement in the vision of aging patients after short exposure to red light therapy.

Optically Improved Mitochondrial Function Redeems Aged Human Visual Decline

The study was done using 670nm red light, (Illuminate is 660), and 40Mw of power, (Illuminate is 30Mw). So Illuminate‘s slightly shorter wavelength, and slightly lower power is likely; at the very least safe, and at best, safe and effective for improved mitochondrial function and overall eye health over time.

We have not recommended wearing protective goggles for Red Light Therapy, (Red LED Light) in the clinic, when delivered via the Illuminate Red Light LED panel for over 5 years, (either for clients or for ourselves) and have had zero adverse events, side effects or untoward outcomes.

In short, red light in the 630 to 680 nano-meter spectrum appears to improve mitochondrial function, and other cell function due to up-regulation of ATP facilitating faster, more efficient movement of the biological machines that drive inter, and intracellular activity. How Can Procell Improve The Appearance of Thinning Hair?

This is the fourth in a 10 part series discussing how Procell Microchanneling may improve the appearance of a number of common aesthetic imperfections. We welcome questions and comments.

Age related hair loss is typically attributed to 4 main factors:

  1. Thinning of aging skin miniaturizes follicles
  2. Decreased blood supply miniaturizes follicles
  3. Hormonal imbalances miniaturize follicles
  4. Genetic predisposition

Procell is the only service that may addres the 3 factors that are “treatable”:

  1. Procell may thicken both epidermal and dermal tissue,
  2. Procell may increase blood supply and lymphatic drainage.
  3. The cytokines in Procell’s Hair Regrowth Serum may keep the DHT molecule away from the dermal papilla, protecting the follicle from hormonal imbalance.
  4. Some believe that microchannel delivery of cytokine based topicals will be one of the modalities to one day overcome even the genetic predisposition to hair loss as we age.
